AI Writing Cleanup Checklist

The draft looks clean. That is why it is dangerous.

You can feel the problem before you can name it: the paragraph sounds like a brochure, the proof is missing, the voice has gone flat, and the last line asks the reader to care without giving them a reason. This checklist turns that uneasy read into marked lines, source notes, voice rules, and a clearer next action.

What the checklist fixes

A weak AI draft usually fails in quiet places.

FROM PAIN TO CLEAN COPY

From uneasy read to marked repair path

The painful version is familiar: you paste the draft into a doc, scroll once, and every sentence seems acceptable on its own. Then the whole thing feels hollow. The buyer cannot see the proof. The client cannot hear the brand. The reader reaches the end and still does not know what to do.

The solved state is visible on the page: claims are underlined, missing proof is named, the source packet sits beside the draft, one voice rule is kept, and the final paragraph tells the reader the next move.

Six checks before publishing

Turn the vague feeling into a repair list.

CHECK 01

Reader And Job

Picture the person opening it. Name what they know, what they doubt, and what decision the piece should help them make.

CHECK 02

Claim List

Underline every claim, number, promise, comparison, and feature. If the source is missing, shrink the claim or move it to Notes.

CHECK 03

Source Packet

Put the facts beside the draft: product details, exclusions, proof, examples, prices, dates, constraints, and phrases to avoid.

CHECK 04

Slop Tells

Cut the lines that sound confident because nothing specific is being said: filler openings, abstract benefit stacks, fake authority, and over-clean transitions.

CHECK 05

Voice Rule

Keep one visible voice rule. Plain, blunt, technical, warm, skeptical, or strange is fine. The draft should not sound averaged for a platform feed.

CHECK 06

Final Action

End with a physical next move: inspect an example, choose a tier, reply with a draft, open a checklist, or leave the claim out.

Route the work

Use the right field file.

The next step after cleanup is voice control: turn samples, product facts, banned phrases, and recurring content jobs into a packet the next draft can use.
